My name is Regina Bridges. Ever since I can remember, I have enjoyed listening to and supporting others. My goal is to help people of all ages and backgrounds feel heard and empowered. I find it a privilege to be part of the process of growth for each client I am able to serve.
I approach therapy through a holistic and person centered lens focusing on the whole person where they are the expert and author of their own story. My role is to learn and assist the client in finding their voice. I enjoy using creativity in therapy through outlets of mindfulness, art, yoga, play, and sand tray. When it comes to working with children, parent/family involvement is crucial in the therapy process while still fostering autonomy.
I welcome and support clients of all sexual orientations, including LGBTQ.
I have 8 years of experience in the mental health therapy field including work with survivors of abuse and domestic violence, crisis intervention and assessment for inpatient treatment, community based therapy for children and adolescents, and most recently school based therapy.
Education
Master of Arts in Human Development Counseling, Bradley University, 2013
Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Bradley University, 2010
When I'm not providing therapy, I spend time snuggling up with my holland lop bunny, enjoying time with my family, reading a good book, playing video games, roller skating, or practicing yoga. I am currently training to become a 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher (expected in December 2021) and recently completed my 95 hour Children's Yoga Teacher certification.
