Insurance & Intake Coordinator/Receptionist (Part-time)
Our private psychotherapy practice is seeking an experienced professional to work in our administrative office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a professional office or medical setting, with the skills necessary to improve our current medical billing procedures and reduce unpaid services. The successful applicant will work on a number of tasks requiring data analysis, in-depth evaluation and exercising judgement within the appropriate scope of practice. We offer paid time off, 401k match, and competitive compensation.
Responsibilities and Duties
Primary responsibilities are to review/submit insurance claims, and reception desk duties. Assists counseling staff with various support services. Must also have working knowledge of accounting, healthcare, and general office procedures, and have excellent communication, both verbally and in writing, with peers, supervisors, payors, clients, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
3+ days per week, starting at $16-18+ hourly:
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. shift
REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Excellent computer and technology skills.
Requires strong attention to detail and ability to obtain and record information accurately.
Requires conflict management skills, and time management skills.
Integrity and professionalism at all times.
HIGHLY DESIRED:
Experience with medical health office practices.
Experience with computerized accounting and billing systems, keyboarding and basic office software applications.
Experience in scheduling and/or registration.
